“We can see on this road sign that we’ve spotted is triangular. It’s a warning sign. This tells us that traffic is merging from the left. It’s not the same junction as a regular junction. It’s got an angle so that traffic is coming at speed to join our road.
There will still be a giveway situation for them but, with the merge bit of that is where traffic is trying to join. Like a slip road on a dual carriageway or a slip road on a motorway, the traffic is trying to merge with our traffic, so you’ll have to look behind to see what’s going on and how that affects what you’re going to do.”
