Male & Female Driver Statistics

“We have another myth about driving tests again. Here, this one is from Boris and Boris is wanting to know the truth about this and his thought is male drivers are much better than female drivers, aren’t they?

Absolutely not. The statistics for crashes, drink driving, drugs driving, hit and run, no insurance, serious speeding all show male drivers in the vast majority. Come on guys, you can do better.

66% of KSI casualties, that’s killed or serious injury casualties, are from a collision involving at least one younger car driver who was male. This compares to 66% of KSI casualties from collisions involving other age car drivers, but there’s an awful lot more of the other age car drivers than the younger ones so it’s a very significant difference.

32%, so about a third of KSI casualties from a collision involving at least one younger car driver was male aged between 17 and 24.

So, those are not good statistics guys, but you can do better than that, can’t you?”
