“Here are some thoughts about the hazard perception test. When you’re out and about as a passenger in a car or taxi, look at the road ahead.
The windscreen is a big hazard perception screen. Practice spotting the hazards, watch how the driver deals with teh hazards. This is valuable practice for you.
Scan the road ahead and spot teh hazards. Try and anticipate what other road users might be doing in the next few seconds.
The test requires you to identify a developing hazard in good time. You have a time window in the video. It’s split into five parts. If you click very promptly in the first part, then you’ll get five points, then four, three, two and one point if you’re slower and slower to click for the developing hazard.”
