“Okay, this is again probably on a rural road. You’ve got quite a few bends and this particular couple of bends is significant. It’s so much more challenging, the visibility might be poorer or there’s some issue there that needs you to take a great deal more care.
This isn’t just a bend of course, look at the diagram carefully and you can see that, starting at the bottom initially, there’s a sharp left hadn bend, then there’s a sharp right hand bend, so this needs to be taken with a great deal more care than a simple left or right hand bend.
So, this sign means first bend to the left, followed by a bend to the right. If the sign is reversed, it therefore means the first bend is to the right and the second bend is to the left.
So, as you’re approaching, scan from left to right, try and work out where the road is going. Look for oncoming traffic that you might meet on the first or second bend, check in the mirrors behind you because you’re going to have to slow down and change your position probably because of these two bends.”
