“Well, we’ve got another test uh driving test myth here from this is from Sam.
Thank you very much, Sam. Sam says, “I failed because the examiner took me on a road that wasn’t on the test route that my instructor had taken me on.”
Well, we know from other myths that the driving test routes haven’t been published for years anyway, and also that they change over time for various reasons. And therefore, there’s no real guarantee that any test route that you’ve been on already will be the one that you have for your driving test on the day.
So you need you need lots and wide experience of lots of different driving experiences before your test and before you go out driving on your own. So if your instructor has been focusing a lot on driving test routes, this may be a good time to change instructor. You need an instructor who’s going to teach you safe driving for life, not how to pass the driving test.
It’s more important for you to be driving well and safely for many years after the driving test instead of just a performance on the day on a test route that you’ve been taught.”
