Bend with Inside Junction

“We’re probably on a rural road. Here might be alittle bit bendy, but this corner ahead has got a sign.

So, we’ve spotted the sign, we’ve seen the warning triangle, we’ve seen that it’s a bend ahead. In this sign, it’s a bend to the right, but on the inside of the bend, we can see that there is a thin black line and that tell sus that there is a junction on the inside of the curve.

As we’re turning around to the right now, you’ve go the bend to deal with, so you’re going to have to go at the right speed, get the right gear, do all that to get round the bend but also appreciate that if there’s a vehicle trying to get out of that junction, whoever’s in the driving seat, or if it’s a biker or a cyclist trying to get out, they’ve got bad visibility to their left and their right, so be prepared as you’re going around there.

You might see somebody peeping and creeping and coming out into the carriageway now. If they’re doing that and there’s oncoming traffic, you might find somebody on the wrong side of the road in extreme situations.

So basically, watch out as this is a more significant thing to deal with than a junction on a previous sign where the junction was on the outside of a left hand corner.”
