“So we’re on our roads and driving again and we’ve spotted a road sign ahead. It’s a warning triangle again and this one shows us, like we’ve seen before, a bend to the right.
The warning sign is there because this particular bend is sharper, poorer visibility or something compared to the ones that you’ve seen before that haven’t got any road signs.
The additional thing about this sign is that halfway around or at some point on the bend, there is a small minor road, so you can expect, halfway around that corner, somebody’s going to be trying to drive onto our road or there may be pedestrians there or cyclists.
So, you’ve got two things to deal with. You’ve got the bend to the right and you’ve got other road users at that junction to our left.
This is the sort of thing that your sat-nav can show you and give you good preparation for as well, so keep your eyes out on the sat-nac as you’re driving along to help you reinforce what the road signs are saying.”
