“You will have a minimum of 3 in-car sessions during your time on the Trainee Licence – we refer to these as Modules 9, 10, and 11.
Modules 9 and 10 will happen during the first and second months of your Trainee Licence respectively.
These sessions will start off with your trainer sat in the back of your car, watching you deliver a live lesson to one of your clients for between 45 minutes and 1 hour.
Your Trainer will be watching for any strengths and weaknesses in your teaching skills, as well as how you handle job sharing, adaptation, and all other in-car skills needed to ensure you’re delivering the best lessons possible.
After you have finished the lesson with your client, you will start to iron out any weaker areas you have and be left with tasks to practice with your day to day learners, ready for your input on the next PDI Surgery.”
