“Ideally you will use your own car during the Trainee Licence stage – this is to keep your outgoings low so you can focus on Learning more than Earning.
If you already have a car that is affordable, then you should still be able to use that vehicle, however if it isn’t suitable, replace it with a car of similar value so that you can still do all the things you need to do alongside practising delivering lessons to learners.
The car you use will need to have dual controls fitted, will need suitable insurance and will need to have a second interior mirror fitted for use by the instructor.
This is not to say you can’t upgrade your car further into your career!
