“While setting up your in-car training, we’ll also look for other trainees in your area who are at the same stage as you. Getting a training buddy has many benefits during, and away from, the in-car training.
During the in-car training, you’ll benefit from time in the back of the car, assessing your training buddy and spotting faults, as if you were the instructor, to form the basis of a discussion before swapping seats.
This allows you to be both trainee and trainer during the in-car day, maximising your development during the session. Away from the in-car training day, a training buddy gives you an opportunity for further practice or further discussion when revisiting coursework. Use your training buddy wisely.”
