Mum & Dad Say I'm Ready

“Here we have another driving test myth, thought, comment or whatever. This is from Peter. Peter says “My mum and dad, friends or whoever says I’m good enough to pass, so I’ll go ahead and book my test despite my instructor telling me I’m not ready.”

Well, how many learners have your mum, dad, parents, friends or mates got through their tests. Well, your instructor’s got quite a lot through their test and your instructor’s taken significant and demanding training to get qualified.

So, they’ll be able to give you the expert advice you need, not what you want to hear from your friends and relatives. You don’t ask your mates and your family about the house electrics or the house plumbing, or that problem with your teeth or anything like that, do you?

So, don’t take their advice for this. Go back to your instructor, get the advice from your instructor. If your instructor says you’re not ready, then work together with your instructor to get ready before you then take the test and good luck with that.”
