End of Dual Carriageway

“Okay, so this sign, can you work out what it is? It’s the end of a dual carriageway. The two lines at the bottom are where we are representing each side of the road and the road ahead is now a single carriageway.

So, what does that mean for our driving?

Well, a dual carriageway might be a faster speed. So, when we go onto the single carriageway, we’re probably going to have to slow down. So you’re going to have to look for the speed limit signs alongside this. So look out.

You’re on a one-way street at the moment as on a dual carriageway and, when you’re coming onto a single carriageway, you’re now onto two-way traffic. So, you need to keep your wits about you. Keep looking at the signs. Check what’s behind.”
