“A PDI surgery is where you can join other PDI’s and our senior trainers to discuss any points you have found whilst practicing your teaching skills on the trainee licence.
There are two types of PDI surgery: General Support and Part 3 Competencies.
The General Support surgeries offer a place to discuss anything related to delivering lessons, lesson content, dealing with learners, route planning, and anything else that now falls into your day to day as a PDI.
The Part 3 Competencies have a closer link to the 5 steps and the competencies on the Examiner’s marking sheet for the Part 3 test: usually we have some real life examples of PDI’s who have passed or failed who share their experiences on test.”
