“At the present time, the waiting for a Part 2 test is around three to four months in some areas. For this reason, we advise booking your Part 2 test as soon as your Part 1 test is passed, due to the long waiting times.
Because of these waiting times, you may need to do what’s called a book to hold test, where you pay your fee to DVSA and they come back to you with a test date.
Your test date is only provisional at this stage and it may need ot be pushed back or brought closer depending on your progress through the coursework and your progess through the in-car training.”
